It is FINALLY Friday …

I don’t think I’ve looked forward to a weekend SO much in a VERY long time.

I’ve seen some really great highs this week – like Lyn from New Hampshire not only coming out to San Diego to see her daughter (who was evacuated due the fires in October 2007) and then having breakfast with DH and me on Saturday, but she brought ANOTHER amazing blanket for us to deliver through the San Diego Blanket Project.

My knitting group got together to celebrate its 1 year anniversary the other night and WOW, you know merlot and knitting really doesn’t mix! But it was really nice to see some of the original group, some have had a baby, another is GOING to have one. We’ve had new people join the group, have 2 active men knitting with us, and have lost a few of our ole’ regulars. When all was said and done though, it was a refreshing moment and nice to get back to our roots.

Other than that, I still can’t get any of my projects to stick and become FO’s … who knows maybe tomorrows KIP will inspire me. But today the sun is shining, my head is high, its PAY DAY and I just ordered $200 in yarn for my knitting group … it’s a good day …

I hope you are enjoying your weekend. I literally cried as our plane climbed and banked over Point Loma. I LOVE San Diego, and I wasn't ready to leave just yet. I know I won't be back for almost a year, so this leaving was really bittersweet. I so enjoyed our breakfast with you and Robert. It almost doesn't seem fair that we are separated by so many miles@ I have about 12 more squares done to go with the ones I left you..... Will be mailed out soon.
