I'm going on strike!
I walked into the house yesterday and the 16 year old was too tired to get a job (ohhhh poor thing) and the 12 year old couldn't clean his room, but after a long day the first words were "what's for dinner" - Yup I'm on Strike!
Then I asked for help in skeining some yarn for a new client, the 16 year old says no - she's watching TV, the 12 year old is busy playing video games. Can they clean the counter, vacuum the floor, maybe even unload the dishwasher? Nope! - So I'm on Strike!
When DH got home last night (15 minutes later than he said - this normally shouldn't be a problem - but in his world he works from 8 am till 10 pm and has missed the last 5 weeks of date night and dinners at 8:30 - and yes doesn't call) I had already gotten in the car to go out and basically blow the world off ... SMART man intercepted me, got me dinner (as bad as it was he gets a point for trying) and said YUP - You're on strike!
Tomorrow I go food shopping. I'm going to take MY food, and MY clean clothes and MY electric and have a good ole' time. Maybe some yarn and I will reintroduce ourselves ... maybe a nice Ice Tea...
Hmm -- I wonder how long its going to be before they even notice ... that "I'm on strike!" ?

Good for you. Sometimes it takes a strike to get some appreciation.
I hear ya! I go on strike quite regular around here... they will notice when they don't have any clean clothes or cooked dinner. Although I have to say the step-son didn't care if the bathroom was growing science projects or not.... YUCK! Filthy boy! LOL
